Check out our new look. It's been a long wait but finally we're ready.

So who are we? Mike Rizzotti first purchased his 1991 Eagle Talon back in 1993. At first, it was a daily driver. Like many DSM owners, once the car was taken to the drag strip, and the potential realized, it slowly morphed into what you see today. Mike has been drag racing the car since 1994, where the first time out it ran a 13.9 with very minor modifications.

Mike's goal has always been to keep the car as clean as possible, making the fullest of the added modifications, while trying to retain it's street abilities. Every modification is meticulously thought out and attention to detail is a priority when installed on the car.  Although it is a constant battle, Mike does not want his car to be a race car only. It still boasts a full interior, power windows, locks, CD player, etc... Weighing in at 3006 pounds with Mike, it is far from a gutted race car and does see street duty. In 2010 the Talon ran a 9.98@140 MPH and in doing so became the first stock block DSM to break into the 9 second barrier! With that accomplished, it's time to turn up the wick for 2011!

Over the years Mike started getting a lot of inquires at the track, asking who built and tuned the car and if he works on other's DSM's. Thus, Rizzotti Racing was formed, in short, to help offset the cost of Mike's racing.  Although not a full time job/business, Mike does do work on other DSM's. Anything from turbo upgrades, FMIC installs, clutch / transmission work, engine swaps and tuning is available depending upon Mike's schedule.

Site News:

11/20/11: After a disappointing 2011 racing season, I have decided to bring the car back to it's roots and return it to a real street car! I will continue racing it, in fact it will see more track time in 2012. I am at the point of having to make many changes to the chasis in order to pass tech and I do not want to do it.
